Taking a cue from Oui Chef I decided to try something fun with my lil' one. For fun, I dressed him up in his Halloween Costume from last year and got to cooking!

I cannot tell you how much fun it was to see him enjoying putting the pizza together. It was even better to see how he was enjoying eating the ingredients!

The best part was when he thought the flour I put down on the wax paper was salt. But man, was he ever cheffin' it with that flour! He has excellent salting technique. =) I think those cooking classes at his day care are paying off.

I like the picture ala "Chef Keller" style that we got to capture with our camera. I can't wait to put that one up in our kitchen. This was something I always wanted to do and I'm so glad that I finally got around to doing it. If you would rather not go through the setup yourself...visit The Lazy Dog Cafe and get your kid the "build your own pizza" option. My so loved it! They also have a build your own sundae option but I think the pizza is much more fun.

In my hunt for how to spell "Oui Chef" I found www.ouichefnetwork.com! Very cool! I'm sure to pick up a lot of inspiration from this chef and father of 2!

Happy birthday veggies

A typical mac'n'cheese lunch with veggies can be a surprise source of culinary inspiration for a toddler.

Maybe my son will be a chef one day. He put a pea on a square cut carrot and gave it to me and said, "Happy Birthday Momma!" Awesome
